The first quarter of 2022 saw varied performance among the top subscription games on the Android platform in Africa. Here’s a closer look at the weekly trends in downloads, revenue, and active users for the top 5 apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Asphalt Xtreme from Netflix, Inc. exhibited a gradual decline in weekly downloads, starting from 1.6K at the end of December 2021 and tapering to around 966 by the end of March 2022. Active users fluctuated slightly, peaking at approximately 2.8K in late January before settling at around 2.4K towards the end of the quarter.

Pro Darts 2024 by iWare Designs Ltd. experienced a peak in weekly downloads at 1.2K during the week of January 24, followed by a decline to around 697 downloads by the end of March. Active users showed a similar trend, increasing to a peak of 2.2K in late January and then decreasing to approximately 1.6K by the end of the quarter. Revenue for the app saw minor fluctuations, with weekly earnings reaching a maximum of $9 in a few weeks.

Lastly, Bowling Ballers, yet another title from Netflix, Inc., experienced a decrease in weekly downloads from 511 in late December to approximately 213 by the end of March. Active users declined from 1.4K in late December to around 800 by the end of the quarter.
